MORE ON THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CLERGY - AND NOT ON THE LAITY OR THE FAITH.
This is NOT GOOD.
This clearly implicates then - Popes John Paul and Benedict...and apparently also our current Holy Father in perpetuating very poor decisions...decisions by the Clergy, not by the Laity, the Body of the Church.
Two points here:
1) Whether Pope Francis was complicit in this or not, it is now incumbent upon him to remove the silk glove and to use his iron fist to clean out the entire hierarchy of the Church that requires it; to drain the swamp. In doing so, the Laity will be entirely in support of such efforts and will be ready to man the breach as needed. If that is not done, the Laity will leave the Clergy: not the Faith or the Church, but the Clergy. And the Clergy is NOT itself the Church.
2) If Pope Francis cannot do this without creating a Schism in the Clergy, he will have created a much more serious and lasting Schism in the Church. And for that, he will be condemned, at least by the Laity.
The time is NOW, not in some future century or millennium, as the Clergy likes to think of its history and future.
